Kabul – November 5, 2025: The Bost Regional PwDs Team has put on a remarkable performance to beat the Mis-e-Ainak Regional Team in the final and clinch the title of the 14th edition of the Najibullah Taraki Regional PwDs T20 Tournament 2025.

Kabul – November 5, 2025: The Bost Regional PwDs Team has put on a remarkable performance to beat the Mis-e-Ainak Regional Team in the final and clinch the title of the 14th edition of the Najibullah Taraki Regional PwDs T20 Tournament 2025.

The event started last week in Kandahar Province, which featured five teams from the Bost, Mis-e-Ainak, Amo, Band-e-Amir, and Speenghar Regions. Bost and Mis-e-Ainak Regional Teams have topped the group stage and qualified to the final of the event, which took place today at the Kandahar National Cricket Ground.

The Bost Regional PwDs Team opted to bat first in the final and, banking on Munir Ahmad’s 48, Seen’s 40, and Mohammadullah’s 36 runs, posted 176 runs on the board in the first inning. Bashir Ahmad picked up four wickets for the Mis-e-Ainak region.

Mis-e-Ainak Region batted well but fell six runs short of the target as they made their way to 170/10 runs in the second inning. Tariq Zadran (47*) and Samiullah (34) batted well, but it was the Bost bowlers who put up a good show to defend the target. Shafiullah picked up three wickets, whereas Munir Ahmad and Ajmal Afghan picked up two wickets each.

Munir Ahmad (48 runs and two wickets) was awarded the Player of the Match for his all-round performance. Bost Region’s skipper, Qudratullah, scored 189 runs in the event to win the best batter award, whereas Abdullah Lewal, representing the Mis-e-Ainak Region, was adjudged the best bowler of the event with 8 wickets to his name.

Mis-e-Ainak Region’s skipper, Jamil Shah, who had scored 56 runs and had picked up 7 wickets in the event, was awarded the Player of the Tournament, whereas Farid Tani from the Mis-e-Ainak Region was named the Emerging Player of the Tournament with 130 runs to his name.
