Sardar Wali Shirzad is the Procurement Manager at the Afghanistan Cricket Board, born on April 3, 1983, in Nangarhar Province. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree and has over 17 years of experience in the procurement field.

He joined the ACB in October 2020 in the role of Procurement Manager. For him, this journey is not only a professional endeavor but also a deeply personal mission to contribute to the growth and integrity of cricket infrastructure across Afghanistan. Working with the ACB has given him a platform to translate policy into action, vision into structure, and needs into delivered solutions.

Under his leadership, the Procurement Department has successfully implemented numerous projects, ranging from the construction of new cricket academies in provinces such as Balkh, Badakhshan, Takhar, and Paktika provinces, to the technical renovation of grounds like Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Ground in Nangarhar and the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Ground in Khost. The department has saved millions of Afghanis through competitive bidding, make-and-buy strategies, and effective vendor negotiations, all while ensuring full compliance with ACB policies.

One of his proudest achievements has been embedding the principles of accountability, transparency, and value for money into every procurement action. He views this as more than just a job; it is a lifelong accomplishment to witness the rise of professional standards in procurement and to contribute meaningfully to the nation's most unifying sport.
