Kabul, January 13, 2026: The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Toby Radford as the National Team’s Batting Coach and Robert Ahmun as the new Strength & Conditioning Trainer. Both will join the squad ahead of the upcoming three-match T20I series against the West Indies.

In the ongoing Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Provincial Grade 1 Tournament, two matches were played today. At the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Ground in Khost, Nangarhar-B defeated Khost, while at the Najibullah Tarakai Cricket Ground in Nangarhar, Chairman-XI overcame Khost-B. It is worth noting that the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Provincial Grade 1 Tournament is being contested among 12 strong teams, with standout performers being selected for the Mirwais Nika Three-Day and National T20 tournaments.

Kabul-A Defeat Logar While Paktika Defeat ACB-XI On Day 3 of WAK Grade 1 Tournament

As part of the Afghanistan Cricket Board’s domestic cricket calendar, the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade 1 Provincial Tournament, currently underway in Nangarhar and Khost provinces, continued today with two matches. Kabul-A defeated Logar by 7 wickets, while Paktika overcame ACB-XI by 6 wickets. The talented performers from the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade 1 Provincial Tournament will progress to the List A and Mirwais Nika Three-Day tournaments.
