Sharjah, October 23, 2026: AfghanAtalan have been crowned champions of the Etisalat ACB ODI Tri-Nation Series 2026, powered by SuperCola, after defeating Zimbabwe by seven wickets in a commanding performance in the final at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

After winning the toss, Zimbabwe elected to bat first but struggled against Afghanistan’s disciplined bowling attack and were bowled out for 169 runs. Rashid Khan led the way with three wickets, while Mohammad Nabi, Bilal Sami, and Fazalhaq Farooqi claimed two wickets apiece. Azmatullah Omarzai also contributed with one wicket.

In reply, Afghanistan produced a composed batting display to chase down the 170-run target comfortably, losing just three wickets. Ibrahim Zadran led the charge with an unbeaten 70 off 96 balls, while captain Rahmat Shah Zarmati stepped up with 43 runs, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz made a valuable contribution, scoring 36 runs to help guide Afghanistan to the title.

Ibrahim Zadran was named Player of the Match for his impressive batting display in the final. Meanwhile, Rashid Khan claimed 11 wickets across the three matches of the series, which earned him the Player of the Series award for his outstanding performances throughout the tournament.

The final marked another significant milestone in Rashid Khan’s career, as he made his 250th international appearance for Afghanistan, becoming only the second Afghan cricketer to reach the milestone after Mohammad Nabi. Nabi also reached a notable career landmark during the match, taking his tally of international wickets to 300 with his two-wicket contribution in the final.

With this victory, Afghanistan concluded the tri-nation series in style, emerging as champions after competing against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh.

Following a three-day break, Afghanistan will turn their attention to the T20I series against Zimbabwe, which is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 27.
