Bost and Band-e-Amir Secure Wins on Day Two of National T20 Cup

On the second day of the e& National T20 Cup, Powered by SuperCola, Omid-e-Watan Edition, Bost and Band-e-Amir Region emerged victorious in the third and fourth matches respectively.

In the third match, Bost defeated Mis-e-Ainak Region by 4 runs. After losing the toss, Bost were put in to bat first and posted a competitive total of 167/7 in their 20 overs, with an unbeaten 61 from captain Najibullah Zadran and 37 from Aziz Miahkhel. For Mis-e-Ainak, Abdullah and Mohammad Younis claimed two wickets each.

 In response, Mis-e-Ainak fought hard in a thrilling chase that went down to the final ball. Despite a brilliant unbeaten 95 from Khalid Ahmadzai and 44 from Karamatullah, they fell short, finishing on 162/6 and losing by 4 runs. Amir Hamza played a key role with the ball for Bost, taking 2 wickets and successfully defending 10 runs in the final over.

Bost captain Najibullah Zadran was named Player of the Match for his unbeaten 61.

In the fourth match, Band-e-Amir defeated Speenghar Region by 4 wickets. After winning the toss, Speenghar elected to bat first and scored 147/8, with captain Zubaid Akbari scoring 60 and Shawkat Zaman adding 36. For Band-e-Amir, Abdul Ahmadzai took 4 wickets while Sayed Khan picked up 2.

Band-e-Amir chased down the target in the 19th over, scoring 147/6, powered by Khalid Ahmadzai’s 51 and Haroon Khan’s 43. For Speenghar, Nazeef Amiri and Aqeel Khan took two wickets each.

Abdullah Ahmadzai was named Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling performance of 4 wickets for 23 runs in his 4-over spell.
