The Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Provincial Grade 1 continues as Khost-B defeated Kabul-A by a big margin of 43 runs.

Today’s match between Khost-B and Kabul-A was played at the Najibullah Tarakai Cricket Ground in Nangarhar, where Khost-B secured a 43-run victory over Kabul-A.

Khost B won the toss and elected to bat first. The team was bowled out in the 42nd over, setting a target of 200 runs. In their batting lineup, captain Asghar Atal scored 47 runs, Jamshed Zadran added 30, and Aimal Shaheen contributed 27 runs. For Kabul-A, Sayed Sherzad, Sayed Khan, Muslim Musa, Jalal, and Irfan Safi each claimed two wickets.

In reply, Kabul-A was dismissed for 156 runs, falling short by 43 runs. Mohammad Haroon top-scored with 42 runs, followed by Hamid Hotak with 32 and Irfanullah Safi with 28 runs. For Khost-B, bowlers Izatullah Zazai took five wickets while Asghar Atal claimed three.

At the end of the match, Khost B bowler Izatullah Zazai was named Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling performance, taking five wickets for 35 runs.

It is worth noting that as the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade 1 Provincial Tournament continues, one match will be played tomorrow morning at Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Ground in Khost between Khost and ACB-XI.
