Seventh and Eighth First-Class Matches End in Draws

The seventh match of the e& Presenting Ahmad Shah Abdali First-Class Tournament 2026, Powered by SuperCola played between Mahipar Stars and Pamir Legends at the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Ground in Nangarhar, and the eighth match, played between Hindukush Strikers and Maiwand Champions at the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Ground in Khost, both ended in draws.

The seventh match of the e& Presenting Ahmad Shah Abdali First-Class Tournament 2026, Powered by SuperCola played between Mahipar Stars and Pamir Legends at the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Ground in Nangarhar, and the eighth match, played between Hindukush Strikers and Maiwand Champions at the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Ground in Khost, both ended in draws.

In the seventh match, Pamir Legends won the toss and elected to bowl first. Mahipar Stars batted first and were bowled out for 126 runs. Yousuf Shah top-scored with 34, while Usman Sadat added 27 runs. For Pamir Legends, Fareed Malik claimed six wickets, while Salam Khan and Naseem Mangal took one wicket each.

Pamir Legends responded strongly to Mahipar Stars’ first-innings total and scored 451 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Mohammad Shahzad scored 126, Bilal Ahmad remained unbeaten on 130, and Mohammad Younas contributed 81 runs, giving Pamir Legends a 325-run first-innings lead. For Mahipar Stars, Yamin Ahmadzai and Bashir Ahmad took four wickets each.

Mahipar Stars made a strong comeback in their second innings. Powered by Shahidullah Kamal’s 197 and captain Yamin Ahmadzai’s 70, they were bowled out for 500 by the afternoon of the final day, setting Pamir Legends a target of 176 runs. By the end of the final day, Pamir Legends had reached 81 for six, with Bahir Shah unbeaten on 47, and the match ended in a draw. For Mahipar Stars, captain Yamin Ahmadzai also produced an excellent bowling performance, taking all six wickets.

Shahidullah Kamal, the Mahipar Stars middle-order batter who scored 197 in the second innings, was named Player of the Match.

Meanwhile, in the eighth match at the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Ground in Khost, Hindukush Strikers won the toss and elected to bowl first against Maiwand Champions. Much of the opening day was lost due to a wet outfield.

Maiwand Champions scored 227 runs in their first innings before being bowled out. Shams-ur-Rahman remained unbeaten on 66, while Aimal Shaheen scored 63. For Hindukush Strikers, Sayed Shirzad, Nooristani Omarzai and Izhar-ul-Haq Naveed took two wickets each, while Zia-ur-Rahman, Abdul Malik, Muslim Musa and Hashmatullah Shahidi claimed one wicket apiece.

In reply to Maiwand Champions’ 227, Hindukush Strikers scored 325 runs in their first innings, taking a 98-run lead. Their captain Abdul Malik scored 131 runs, while Mubeen Bakhtiar and Hashmatullah Shahidi contributed 44 runs each. For Maiwand Champions, Shams-ur-Rahman claimed seven wickets, while Abdullah Tarakhil, Rohullah Arab and Khatir Stanikzai took one wicket each.

In their second innings, Maiwand Champions reached 166 for eight by the end of the fourth day, with Shams-ur-Rahman unbeaten on 56 and Asghar Atal scoring 34. The match therefore ended in a draw.

For Hindukush Strikers, Hashmatullah Shahidi took three wickets, Sayed Shirzad and Nooristani Omarzai claimed two each, while Zia-ur-Rahman picked up one wicket. Shams-ur-Rahman, the Maiwand Champions all-rounder, was named Player of the Match after scoring unbeaten knocks of 66 and 55 runs and taking seven wickets with the ball.
