Khost – July 12, 2026: The Speenghar Tigers secured their fourth victory by narrowly defeating the Mis-e-Ainak Knights by 17 runs in the 15th match of the tournament. The afternoon match between the Amo Sharks and Bost Defenders was called off due to heavy rain and strong wind, resulting in both teams receiving one point each.
Earlier in the morning, the Mis-e-Ainak Knights won the
toss and elected to field first. After being put in to bat first, the Speenghar
Tigers posted a strong total of 182/9 in the first inning. Mohammad Akram (46),
Rashid Khan (37), Ikram Alikhil (32) and Baheer Shah (23) were the major
contributors with the bat, whereas Khalil Gurbaz (3/31), Zia Ur Rahman Sharifi
(2/31) and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (2/37) shared the wickets among them for the
Knights.
In response, the Speenghar Tigers backed up their decent
batting effort with a terrific bowling performance to defend their total and
beat the Mis-e-Ainak Knights by 17 runs, registering their 4th victory in the
e& Shpageeza Cricket League 2026, powered by SuperCola. Mohammad Nabi’s
heroics with the bat and his outstanding knock of 90 runs went in vain as the
show was stolen by Ismat Alam, who registered figures of 4/25 and grabbed the
player of the match award.
In the second match of the day, the Amo Sharks faced the
Bost Defenders. The Sharks won the toss and opted to bat, reaching 132 runs for
4 wickets in just 14 overs, with Shahidullah Kamal remaining unbeaten on 60
runs. However, heavy rain and strong winds disrupted play, and the match was
eventually called off due to adverse weather conditions, with both teams
awarded one point.
The tournament will continue tomorrow morning with the
Speenghar Tigers taking on the Band-e-Amir Dragons, while the Mis-e-Ainak Knights
will meet the Amo Sharks in the afternoon match.
