Kabul - February 3, 2026: The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) and the Super Cola non-alcoholic national beverage company have extended their financial sponsorship agreement (Powered by) for two more years.
The contract signing ceremony was held at the Afghanistan Cricket Board headquarters, which was attended by the executive heads and officials of both organizations, along with media representatives. During the ceremony, the cooperation agreement was formally signed, and at the conclusion of the event, the executive heads of both organizations exchanged gifts on behalf of their organizations.
Speaking at the ceremony, ACB Chief Executive Officer Naseeb Khan said,
“I clearly remember the time when we had no financial sponsor, and no one was
willing to step forward. Super Cola was the only national company that entered
this field and provided financial support to the national team. No doubt, this
partnership has been beneficial for both organizations.”
He added, “Super Cola’s support for the national team has been extremely
valuable. As a result, Super Cola is now a well-recognized name in the market
and for their support not only the cricket board, but the whole nation is
grateful to them.”
According to Naseeb Khan, Super Cola is a company that has consistently
supported not only cricket but also other sports. He described this commitment
as truly commendable and expressed hope that other national companies would
also step forward to support sports institutions, as such support ultimately
benefits both the teams and the sponsors themselves.
Meanwhile, Super Cola National Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Shahab
Qanavizian, said: “It is a great pleasure that today we are extending our
financial support for the Afghanistan national cricket team for two more years.
As an Afghan, I am proud to support our national team, and this gives me great honor.”
He further stated: “Super Cola is among those national companies that,
alongside business interests, also focuses on motivating and supporting young
people. We have supported Afghan youth in every sporting arena, and we consider
this our responsibility so that our country shines in different fields with its
best positive image globally.”
It is worth noting that this agreement covers two years (2026 and 2027).
Under the terms of the agreement, Super Cola’s logo and branding will appear as
a co-sponsoring partner on the kits and apparel of national and domestic
cricket players during all bilateral and Asian cricketing events, as well as
all domestic cricket tournaments. In addition, Super Cola advertisements and
branding will also be displayed in stadiums.
