Nangarhar – May 20, 2026: The Bost Region have put on a terrific all-rounder effort to beat the Mis-e-Ainak Region by 36 runs on the DL Method in a rain-hit match and registered their first victory in the e& Regional List A Tournament 2026, powered by SuperCola.
Earlier in the morning, the
Mis-e-Ainak Region opted to bowl first. The Bost Region, banking on a terrific
hundred from Naseer Ahmad (105), a half-century from Afsar Zazai (63) and a
handy contribution from Najibullah Zadran (39), posted 277/8 runs on the board
in the first inning. Bilal Sami (4/73) and Zia Ur Rahman Sharifi (3/48) shared
7 wickets among them for the Mis-e-Ainak Region.
In reply, Asghar Atal (33) and
Khalid Taniwal (30) looked good in the second inning, but Rain arrived to
interrupt the proceedings at 75/3 after 18.2 overs. The match was later reduced
to 28 overs per side, with a revised target of 192 runs for the Mis-e-Ainak
Region. After only 4 overs of further play, the match was called off due to bad
light and resulted in a 36-run victory on the DL Method in favor of the Bost
Region.
Khalil Gurbaz picked up 4/20 off
his 3 overs, but the Player of the Match award went to Naseer Ahmad, who had
scored 105 off 136 balls, including 10 fours and a solitary six.
The Amo Region will face off
against the Speenghar Region in the 5th match of the e& Regional List A
Tournament 2026, powered by SuperCola.
