Mahipar Stars defeated Pamir Legends by nine wickets on the second day of the fifth match of the e& Presenting Ahmad Shah Abdali First-Class Tournament 2026, Powered by SuperCola, played at the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Ground in Nangarhar, to record their second win of the competition.
Mahipar Stars won the toss and elected to bowl first against Pamir Legends on the opening day. Pamir Legends struggled in their first innings and were bowled out for 103 runs. Bilal Ahmad top-scored with 23 runs, while Ikram Alikhel added 15. For Mahipar Stars, captain Yamin Ahmadzai led the bowling attack with five wickets, Bashir Ahmad claimed four, and Mohammad Ibrahim took one wicket.
In reply, Mahipar Stars scored 231 runs for the loss of all wickets, taking a 128-run first-innings lead. Opener Riaz Hassan once again impressed with 61 runs, while Shahidullah Kamal scored 40 and Nasir Jamal added 30. For Pamir Legends, Samiullah Sarmast took four wickets, while Fareed Ahmad, Naseem Mangal and Zahir Khan each picked up two wickets.
Pamir Legends also struggled in their second innings and were bowled out for 152, setting Mahipar Stars a target of just 26 runs. Bilal Ahmad and Ikram Alikhel were again the leading run-scorers, contributing 43 and 37 runs respectively. For Mahipar Stars, Mohibullah Zarmati took four wickets, Yamin Ahmadzai and Mohammad Ibrahim claimed two each, while Bashir Ahmad and Qais Ahmad picked up one wicket apiece.
Mahipar Stars chased down the 26-run target with the loss of
only one wicket, securing a comprehensive nine-wicket victory.
Mahipar Stars captain Yamin Ahmadzai, who claimed seven
wickets across the two innings, was named Player of the Match for his
outstanding bowling performance.
