Kabul, March 23, 2025: The fifth edition of the Mirwais Neka Regional Three-Day Tournament is set to kick off on April 5. The event will feature five regional teams that will compete in a round-robin format across two venues in Nangarhar Province.

A total of ten matches are scheduled throughout the tournament, running from April 5 to April 23. The participating teams, Mis-e-Ainak, Band-e-Amir, Amo, Bost, and Speen Ghar, will face each other once during the round-robin stage. The Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Ground and Najibullah Taraki Cricket Ground will host ten matches each.

The competition includes top-performing players from the recently concluded Provincial Grade II and Grade I tournaments, as well as red-ball domestic contracted players. This tournament is significant for identifying new talent and contributing to the development of the game in the country.

The Mirwais Neka Regional three-day event is the third of several domestic tournaments planned for the year and will be followed by the premium red-ball event, the Ahmad Shah Abdali First-Class Tournament, in May this year.
