Kabul-A and Domestic-XI Secure Victories on Day 12 of WAK Grade 1 Tournament

As part of the ongoing Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade 1 Provincial Tournament, two matches were played today. At the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Ground in Khost, the Domestic-XI defeated Nangarhar-B by 6 wickets, while at the Najibullah Tarakai Cricket Ground in Nangarhar, Kabul-A defeated the Nangarhar team by 13 runs.

As part of the ongoing Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade 1 Provincial Tournament, two matches were played today. At the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Ground in Khost, the Domestic-XI defeated Nangarhar-B by 6 wickets, while at the Najibullah Tarakai Cricket Ground in Nangarhar, Kabul-A defeated the Nangarhar team by 13 runs.

In the match between Nangarhar and Kabul-A, Kabul-A batted first and set a target of 187 runs. In their batting lineup, Asif Musazai scored 53 runs, Nasir Ahmad made 47, and Hamza Alikhel contributed 41 runs. For Nangarhar, Usman Younas claimed 2 wickets.

In reply, Nangarhar were bowled out for 173 runs, losing the match by 13 runs. Tariq Stanikzai scored 46 runs and Eqdam-ul-Haq added 31 runs for Nangarhar. In Kabul-A’s bowling attack, Sayed Ahmad Sherzad took 3 wickets, while Jalal, Irfanullah Safi, and Asif Musazai picked up 2 wickets each.

Kabul-A captain Asif Musazai was named Player of the Match for his 53-run knock.

In the second match, played in Khost, the Domestic-XI defeated Nangarhar-B. Nangarhar-B set a target of 139 runs, with Jalat Musazai scoring 55 and Abdul Zahoor adding 26 runs. For the Domestic-XI, Sabir Bahrami took 4 wickets, Khair Mohammad Alizai claimed 3, and Mohammad Nabi picked up 2 wickets.

The Domestic-XI chased down the target in the 31st over, losing 4 wickets. Idris Niazi scored 52 runs, while Javid Ahmadzai contributed 25 runs. For Nangarhar-B, Nasir Khan took 2 wickets.

At the end of the match, Domestic-XI bowler Sabir Bahrami was named Player of the Match after taking 4 crucial wickets for 43 runs.

It is worth noting that tomorrow, as the tournament continues, Domestic-XI 2 will face Logar at the Najibullah Tarakai Cricket Ground in Nangarhar, while Kandahar-A will take on ACB-XI at the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Ground in Khost.
