Kabul D, Paktia, Nangarhar B, Kunduz, Logar and Khost A won their matches on Day 10 of the WAK Provincial Grade II Tournament

In the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade II Tournament, six matches took place on the 10th day across four provinces of the country, where the teams of Kabul D, Paktia, Nangarhar B, Kunduz, Logar and Khost A claimed victories, defeating Helmand, Ghazni, Jawzjan, Parwan, Nuristan and Faryab respectively.

In the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade II Tournament, six matches took place on the 10th day across four provinces of the country, where the teams of Kabul D, Paktia, Nangarhar B, Kunduz, Logar and Khost A claimed victories, defeating Helmand, Ghazni, Jawzjan, Parwan, Nuristan and Faryab respectively.

At the Quraishi Cricket Ground in Kandahar, Paktia faced Helmand, beating them by 6 wickets. Helmand batted first and set a target of 155 runs. Among Helmand’s batters, Sharifullah Barakzai scored 54, and Qudratullah added 28 runs. For Paktia, Sami Mubarez took 7 wickets while Haqmal Arya took 3.

Paktia chased the target in the 34th over. Rahman Zarmati scored an unbeaten 81, and Habibullah added 21 runs, securing the win by 6 wickets. For Helmand, Usman Abdal took 3 wickets. Sami Mubarez of Paktia was named Player of the Match for his 7-wicket haul.

At the Mis-e-Ainak Cricket Ground in Khost, Logar defeated Faryab by 8 wickets. Faryab batted first and, with 24 runs each from Shah Mohammad and Sami, set a target of 169. For Logar, Akbar Ahmadzai took 4 wickets, Mohammad Ahmadzai took 3, while Hamid took 2.

Logar chased the target in the 27th over with only 2 wickets down. Mansoor scored 72, and Fazl Haq made 38. For Faryab, Samiulla,h and Zabihullah took one wicket each. Akbar Ahmadzai was named Player of the Match for his brilliant bowling.

At the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Ground in Nangarhar, Kunduz defeated Nooristan by 7 wickets. Nuristan batted first, setting a target of 169. Noorullah scored 63 and Mohammad Faheem 27. For Kunduz, Gul Noor took 3 wickets while Shabir, Haroon, and Noorullah each took 2.

Kunduz chased the target in the 19th over, losing 3 wickets. Najibullah Alkozai scored an unbeaten 115, leading his team to victory. For Nooristan, Ehsanullah took 3 wickets. Najibullah Alkozai was named Player of the Match for his century knock.

Meanwhile, at the Kandahar Cricket Ground, Kabul D defeated Ghazni by 84 runs. Kabul D batted first and set a target of 257. Hamza scored 59, Zainullah 53, Ajmal Mayar 5,1 and Rahimullah 50. For Ghazni, Shams Fakhri and Sherullah took one wicket each.

Chasing the target, Ghazni were all out for 172. Mohibullah Jalalzai scored 46. For Kabul D, Jummah Sultani took 4 wickets, while Rohullah, Abdul Halim, and Mohammad Usman each picked up 2 wickets. Jummah Sultani was named Player of the Match for bagging wickets for his team.

In Kunar, Nangarhar B defeated Jawzjan. Nangarhar B batted first, with Najib Qazi Khil scoring 95 and Enayatullah scoring 93, setting a total of 296. For Jawzjan, Javid Saeedi took 3 wickets while Rasool and Syed Jalal each took 2.

Jawzjan, in response, were all out for 257. Nasrullah Turkman scored 93, and Syed Jalal added 48, but they could not secure a win. For Nangarhar B, Ikram Mohmand took 4 wickets and Faheem Qasemi took 2. Najib Qazi Khil was named Player of the Match for his 95 runs in batting.

At the Rahmat Wali Masroor Ground in Khost, Khost A defeated Parwan. Khost A set a massive target of 381. Saifullah Nangyal scored 124, Abdullah Mohammadi 117, Saber Gurbaz 48, and Sayedurrahman 39. For Parwan, Saifullah took 3 wickets and Omidullah took 2.

Parwan were all out for 207, losing by 173 runs. Saifullah scored 70, Rahmatullah 54, and Ezzat Farooqi 26. For Khost A, Habibullah took 4 wickets, and Farmanullah and Abdullah Mohammadi took 2 each. Abdullah Mohammadi was named Player of the Match for his century knock.

Tomorrow, only one match will take place at the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Ground in Nangarhar in the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade II Provincial Tournament, where Nangarhar A will face Sar-e-Pul.

It should be noted that today,y the grounds in Kunar and Khost (Mis-e-Ainak and Rahmat Wali Masroor) hosted the last matches of this stage. The remaining rounds of the tournament will be held at the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Ground in Nangarhar and at the Quraishi and Kandahar grounds in Kandahar Province.
