The semifinals of the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade 1 Provincial Tournament will be held next Friday and Saturday at the Najibullah Tarakai Cricket Stadium in Nangarhar.
In today’s match between Logar and Khost-B, Khost-B won the toss and
elected to bat first, setting a target of 331 runs after losing all their
wickets. In their batting, captain Asghar Atal scored 116 runs, Rahman Zarmati
made 85, Emil Shaheen added 50, and Hashim Khan contributed 29 runs. For Logar,
bowlers Mohammadullah Logari and Rashid Zazai each took 4 wickets.
In reply, Logar scored 312 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the
allotted 45 overs and lost the match by 18 runs. For Logar, Fazal Haq scored
105, Khalid Zahidi made 57, Sohail Khan added 50, and Ezzat Noor scored 33
runs. For Khost-B, Nasim Mangal and Hashim Khan claimed 2 wickets each.
At the end of the match, Khost-B captain Asghar Atal was named Player of
the Match for his impressive 116-run innings.
It is worth noting that the semifinals of the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade
1 Provincial Tournament will take place next Friday and Saturday, where
Nangarhar-B will face Domestic-XI 2, and Nangarhar will take on Domestic-XI.
