In the ongoing Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Provincial Grade II Tournament, which is being held among 40 teams across Kandahar, Nangarhar, Khost, and Kunar provinces, Nangarhar defeated Balkh, Kabul-A beat Maidan Wardak, Kunduz-A overcame Kabul, Kunar defeated Kabul-C, Farah beat Uruzgan, and Takhar won against Kapisa.

In the ongoing Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Provincial Grade II Tournament, which is being held among 40 teams across Kandahar, Nangarhar, Khost, and Kunar provinces, Nangarhar defeated Balkh, Kabul-A beat Maidan Wardak, Kunduz-A overcame Kabul, Kunar defeated Kabul-C, Farah beat Uruzgan, and Takhar won against Kapisa.

In Kandahar, the Farah team defeated Uruzgan. In this match, Farah set a target of 246 runs with Jalal Ahmad’s 108, Mohammad Qaseem’s 69, and Haroon Shah’s 40 runs. In Uruzgan’s bowling lineup, Izzatullah Hilal took 3 wickets, and Rohullah claimed 2.

In reply to the target, Uruzgan scored 114 runs and lost the match by 131 runs. Among their batsmen, Fida Mohammad scored the highest with 22 runs. On the other hand, for Farah, Najibullah Farahi took 6 wickets, and Izzatullah Noorzai took 3. Farah’s bowler, Najibullah Farahi, was named Player of the Match for his six-wicket haul.

At Khost’s Mis Ainak Ground, Kunduz A defeated Kabul by 39 runs. In this match, Kunduz A set a target of 235 runs supported by Lal Mohammad’s 68, Masood Safi’s 55, and Ziauddin’s 36 runs. In Kabul’s bowling, Farhad Ali took 3 wickets, while Rahmat Atal and Ibrahim Shinwari claimed 2 wickets each.

In response, Kabul scored 195 runs. Amir Zazai scored 69, Asadullah 40, and Naqibullah 36 runs. For Kunduz A, Saber Bahrami took 3 wickets, while Khan Mohammad and Javid Ahmadzai dismissed 2 players each. Kunduz A’s Saber Bahrami was awarded Player of the Match.

In Kunar, the Kunar team defeated Kabul C. In this match, Kunar set a target of 251 runs after losing all wickets. Ershad Safi scored 111, and Rohullah Safi made 57 runs. In Kabul C’s bowling, Farid and Faiz Mohammad took 3 wickets each, while Syed Khan took 2.

While chasing the target, Kabul C lost all wickets for 152 runs. Among their batsmen, Izzatullah top-scored with 30 runs. It should be noted that for Kunar, Israr Shafaq took 4 wickets. Kunar’s captain, Ershad Safi, was named Player of the Match.

At Kandahar’s Quraishi Ground, Kabul A defeated Maidan Wardak by 6 wickets and qualified for the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade I Provincial Tournament. In this match, Maidan Wardak batted first and set a target of 228 runs with Naseer Hashimi scoring 60, Hanif 34, and Subhanullah 31 runs. For Kabul A, Muslim Musa took 3 wickets, while Syed Khan and Jalal took 2 wickets each.

Kabul A chased the target in the 36th over. Qudratullah scored 77 runs, and Fazal Osmani scored 70 runs. In Maidan Wardak’s bowling, Hameed Hotak and Haroon Afghan claimed 2 wickets each. Kabul A’s all-rounder, Muslim Musa, was named Player of the Match.

At Khost’s Rahmat Wali Masroor Ground, Takhar defeated Kapisa. In this match, Kapisa set a target of 239 runs with Storay Sahel scoring 82, Islam Zazai 64, Saber 36, and Ziarmal 35 runs. For Takhar, Noor Ali Niazi took 2 wickets.

Takhar chased the target with the loss of 6 wickets. Gul Mohammad scored an unbeaten 74, Saleem Zurmatai 64, and Wissal Oryakhil 46 runs. For Kapisa, Zahid Afghan took 3 wickets. Takhar’s batsman Gul Mohammad was named Player of the Match.

In Nangarhar, the Nangarhar team defeated Balkh by 27 runs. Nangarhar set a target of 223 runs with Khalid Stanikzai scoring 40, Iqdamulhaq 35, and Yasin 34 runs. For Balkh, Asadullah Matannai and Anwar Noori took 3 wickets each, and Asadullah claimed 2 wickets.

In response, Balkh scored 195 runs and lost by 27 runs. Asadullah Matannai top-scored with 117, and Anwar Noori made 30 runs. For Nangarhar, Ibrahim took 4 wickets, and Zainullah claimed 3.

During the tournament, Badakhshan will face Nangarhar B in Kunar, and Kabul B will face Samangan at Nangarhar’s Ghazi Amanullah Khan Stadium tomorrow on day 7.
