The e& presents, Mirwais Nika Three-Day Tournament powered by Super Cola, which has begun among the five strong regional teams of the country, saw victories for Mis-e-Ainak and Band-e-Amir teams in the fifth and sixth matches. In these games, Mis-e-Ainak defeated the Bost regional team by 5 wickets, while Band-e-Amir defeated the Spinghar team by 8 wickets.
In the fifth match of the tournament between Mis-e-Ainak and Bost, which
began on Monday at Kandahar Cricket Ground, Bost batted first and scored a
total of 378 runs. For Bost, Subhan Zakhil scored 102, Azizullah Makhil 71,
Nauman Shah 69, Saber Gurbaz 48, and Ali Ahmad 41 runs. For Mis-e-Ainak,
Mohammadullah Logari took 4 wickets, while Younis Zadran and Asghar Atal took 2
wickets each.
In response to Bost’s 378 runs, Mis-e-Ainak scored 376 runs, taking the lead
of 2 runs. For Mis-e-Ainak, Nasirullah scored 97, Asghar Atal 80, Younis Zadran
56, and Mubeen Bakhtyar 38 runs. For Bost, Jalal Stanikzai, and Nabi Miakhel
took 3 wickets each, while Fahim Qasemi took 2 wickets.
In the third innings, Bost was all out for 121 runs, setting a target of
124 runs. Subhan Zakhil scored 41 and Nusrat Nooristani scored 39 runs. For Mis-e-Ainak,
Mohammadullah Logari delivered an outstanding bowling performance, taking 9
wickets. He bowled 15 overs and dismissed 9 players for just 16 runs.
Mis-e-Ainak successfully chased the target of 124 runs in 19 overs,
losing 5 wickets. Asghar Atal scored 39 runs, and Saif Nangyal scored 37 runs. For Bost, Nasrat
Nooristani took 3 wickets.
At the end of the match, Mis-e-Ainak bowler Mohammadullah Logari was
named Player of the Match for taking a total of 13 wickets across both innings.
In the match between Spinghar and Band-e-Amir at Helmand Cricket Ground,
Band-e-Amir won the toss on the first day and chose to bowl. Spinghar scored
269 runs in their first innings, with Irshad Uddin Safi scoring the highest 133
runs. For Band-e-Amir, Sayed Ahmad Sherzad and Muslim Musa took 3 wickets each,
while Naseer Khan took 2 wickets.
In reply to Spinghar’s 269 runs, Band-e-Amir scored 336 runs for the loss
of 6 wickets, gaining a lead of 67 runs and inviting their opponents to bat
again.
For Band-e-Amir, Khalid Ahmadzai scored an unbeaten 142, Mohammad Riaz
118, and Usman Sadat 37 runs. For Spinghar, Ikram Momand, and Hayat Noori took 2
wickets each.
In the third innings, Spinghar scored only 188 runs, setting a target of
122 runs for Band-e-Amir after clearing the trailing runs. Once again, Irshad
Uddin Safi performed well with the bat, scoring 71 runs. For Band-e-Amir,
captain Naseer Khan took 4 wickets, while Muslim Musa and Sayed Ahmad Sherzad
took 2 wickets each.
Band-e-Amir chased the target of 122 runs in the 30th over, losing only 2
wickets. Khalid Ahmadzai scored an unbeaten 61 runs. For Spinghar, Nazifullah
Amiri took 2 wickets.
At the end of the match, Band-e-Amir’s opening batsman Khalid Ahmadzai
was named Player of the Match for scoring 142 and 61 runs.
On Friday, the 17th of April, Amo regional will face Spinghar at
Kandahar Cricket Ground, while Band-e-Amir regional team will face Bost team at
Helmand Cricket Ground in the 7th and 8th match of the
event.
