Paktika defeated Sar-e-Pul by 106 runs

As part of the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade II Provincial Tournament, only one match was played today on day 18 at the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Stadium in Nangarhar, in which the Paktika team defeated Sar-e-Pul and secured qualification for the Grade I Provincial Tournament. It is worth mentioning that two matches will be played tomorrow in Kandahar as the tournament continues.

As part of the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade II Provincial Tournament, only one match was played today on day 18 at the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Stadium in Nangarhar, in which the Paktika team defeated Sar-e-Pul and secured qualification for the Grade I Provincial Tournament. It is worth mentioning that two matches will be played tomorrow in Kandahar as the tournament continues.

In today’s match between Sar-e-Pul and Paktika, Paktika batted first and scored 270 runs for the loss of all wickets. In Paktika’s batting lineup, Karamatullah scored 81, Enayatullah 39, and Atta Mohammad Zarmal 36 runs. For Sar-e-Pol, Mohammadullah took 3 wickets, while Salahuddin, Imran, and Mohibullah claimed 2 wickets each.

In response to the target set by Paktika, Sar-e-Pul managed to score only 163 runs, losing the match by 106 runs. For Sar-e-Pul, Hameed Khan scored 40 and Abdul Rahim made 25 runs. On the bowling side for Paktika, Azizullah took 3 wickets, while Enayatullah, Mohammad Alam, and Saddam Khan took 2 wickets each. Paktika’s Enayatullah was named the Player of the Match for his all-round performance.

It should be noted that tomorrow morning, as part of the same tournament, Herat will face Kabul A at the Kandahar Cricket Stadium, and Laghman will take on Khost B at the Quraishi Ground in Kandahar.
