Nangarhar – May 24, 2026: The Speenghar Region were clinical with the ball and bat today as they went past the Bost Region by 6 wickets to register their 2nd victory in the e& Regional List A Tournament 2026 powered by Super Cola.
Earlier in the morning, the Bost Region won the toss and opted to bat
first. Afsar Khan Zazai (101) scored a magnificent hundred, whereas Naseer
Ahmad (33), Karim Janat (32) and Numan Shah (24) stepped up with crucial runs
to help the Bost Region post 235/8 runs on the board in the first inning.
Mohammad Nabi (2/34), Yamin Ahmadzai (2/39) and Farid Ahmad (2/56) chipped in
with wickets for the Speenghar Region.
In reply, Zubaid Akbari (73), Baheer Shah (44), Wafiullah Tarakhil
(41), Darwish Rasooli (30*) and Usman Noori (27) batted well to see the
Speenghar Region chase down the target in 40.1 overs and seal the deal 6 wickets
with 59 balls to spare. Karim Janat (2/38) was pick of the Bost Region bowlers
with two wickets. Zubaid Akbar (73) was awarded Player of the Match for his
terrific performance.
To keep the grind going, the Amo Region will lock horns with the
Band-e-Amir Region in the 9th match of the Tournament tomorrow, on
May 25, 2026 at the same venue.
