Abu Dhabi – October 15, 2025: AfghanAtalan have put on a remarkable all-round performance to beat Bangladesh by 200 runs in the third ODI and complete their first-ever ODI series whitewash against Bangladesh.

Afghanistan won the toss in the third ODI and opted to bat first. The opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz (42) put on a terrific 99-run opening stand with Ibrahim Zadran (95), but the middle order collapsed before Mohammad Nabi struck a 37-ball unbeaten 62* runs, an inning that saw 4 fours and 5 huge sixes.

AfghanAtalan followed their terrific batting display with an even better bowling effort as they bundled the opposition out for only 93 runs and managed to win the game by a massive margin of 200 runs and complete a 3-0 whitewash in the series.

Bilal Sami, playing only his second ODI, picked up 5/33 and was awarded as the Player of the Match. Rashid Khan also put on yet another impressive bowling effort, picking up three wickets to complete 11 wickets in the series. On the other hand, Azmatullah Omarzai continued his new-ball heroics as he once again opened the door for Afghanistan with his outstanding new ball bowling and his opening breakthrough.

Ibrahim Zadran was awarded as the Player of the series for his 213 runs at an average of 71 and two half-centuries to his name.

This victory marked Afghanistan’s third successive ODI series victory against Bangladesh, their first-ever series whitewash and 11th overall victory in ODI cricket.

This concludes Afghanistan’s home Etisalat Cup white-ball series against Bangladesh. They will now embark on their away tour to Zimbabwe, where they will engage in a solitary Test match starting October 20, followed by three T20Is from October 29-November 2 in Harare.
