Balkh and Nangarhar-B teams defeated their opponents on day 4 of WAK Grade II tournament

On day four of the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade II Provincial Tournament, Balkh defeated Kabul-B at Ghazi Amanullah Khan cricket ground while Nangarhar-B defeated Kabul-C at Kunar Cricket Ground.

On day four of the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade II Provincial Tournament, Balkh defeated Kabul-B at Ghazi Amanullah Khan cricket ground while Nangarhar-B defeated Kabul-C at Kunar Cricket Ground.

In the match between Nangarhar-B and Kabul-C held at Kunar, Nangarhar-B secured a victory by  beating Kabul C by 120 runs. Nangarhar-B batted first, setting a target of 347 with Abid Mohammadi’s 81 runs, Zahid and Najeeb Qazi Khail’s 67 runs each, and Enayatullah’s 59 runs. Sayed Khan and Fareed Khan each took 4 wickets for Kabul C.

While chasing the target, Kabul-C were bowled out for 227 runs, losing the match by a margin of 120 runs. Their top scorers were Habibullah with 58, Ashiqullah with 46, and Ehsanullah with 38 runs. For Nangarhar-B, Naveed Safi took 4 and Abdul Rahman took 3 wickets. Naveed Safi was named Player of the Match for his 4 wickets haul.

The second match of the day was held at Ghazi Amanullah Khan Stadium in Nangarhar, where Balkh defeated Kabul-B by 6 wickets. Among Kabul-B’s batters, Enayatullah Zaland scored the highest with 14 runs. For Balkh, Rahimullah took 5 and Samiullah took 2 wickets.

Balkh successfully chased Kabul-B’s target in the 27th over with 4 wickets down. Asadullah Matani scored an unbeaten 51, and Omid Safi contributed 25 runs. In bowling for Kabul-B, Mohammad Nabi dismissed 3 players. Rahimullah from the Balkh team was awarded Player of the Match for his fifer.
