Nangarhar Beat Khost & Domestic-XI Beat Kandahar on Day 15 of WAK Grade 1 Provincial Tournament

In the ongoing Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade 1 Provincial Tournament, two matches were played today. At the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Stadium in Khost, Domestic-XI defeated Kandahar-A by a big margin of 91 runs, while at the Najibullah Tarakai Cricket Stadium in Nangarhar, the host Nangarhar team beat Khost-B by 6 wickets.

In the ongoing Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Grade 1 Provincial Tournament, two matches were played today. At the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Stadium in Khost, Domestic-XI defeated Kandahar-A by a big margin of 91 runs, while at the Najibullah Tarakai Cricket Stadium in Nangarhar, the host Nangarhar team beat Khost-B by 6 wickets.

In the match between Khost-B and Nangarhar, Khost-B batted first and set a target of 265 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 45 overs. In their innings, Emil Shaheen scored 103 runs, Sabir Gurbaz added 70, and Asghar Atal contributed 31 runs. For Nangarhar, Yama Arab delivered an excellent bowling performance, taking 5 wickets.

Chasing the target, Nangarhar reached 265 runs in the 43rd over with the loss of 4 wickets. Osman Noori led the chase with a brilliant 110 runs, while Allah Noor Naseri remained unbeaten on 79 and Salman Momand scored 23 runs. For Khost-B, Ezatullah Zazai took two wickets.

Nangarhar batter Osman Noori was named Player of the Match for his outstanding century.

In the second match of the day between Kandahar-A and Domestic-XI, Domestic-XI secured a commanding 91-run victory. Batting first, Domestic-XI scored 315 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 45 overs. Najibullah Alokozai starred with a remarkable 170 runs, supported by Mohammad Riaz with 39 and Abdul Hadi with 30 runs. For Kandahar-A, Ahmad Wali Sial claimed four wickets.

In reply, Kandahar A were bowled out for 223 runs, losing the match by 91 runs. Captain Nauman Shah top-scored with 112 runs, while Bilal Ahmad Trin made 40 and Imran Mazari added 26 runs. For Domestic Eleven, Hayat Noori took four wickets and Khair Mohammad Alizai claimed three.

Domestic-XI opener Najibullah Alokozai was named Player of the Match for his outstanding 170-run innings.

It is worth noting that as the tournament continues, tomorrow Kabul A will face Domestic-XI 2 at the Najibullah Tarakai Cricket Stadium in Nangarhar, while Nangarhar-B will take on Paktika at the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Stadium in Khost.
