In the ongoing e& presents Mirwais Nika Three-Day Tournament powered by Super Cola, the matches between Bost and Spinghar regional teams, and Mis-e-Ainak and Amo regional teams, which started on last Thursday, ended in draws.
The match between Mis-e-Ainak and Amo regional teams began on Thursday at
the Helmand Cricket Ground where Mis-e-Ainak won the toss and chose to bat
first.
In their first innings, Mis-e-Ainak scored 317 runs, powered by Younis
Zadran’s 102, Mubeen Bakhtyar’s 58, and Naseerullah’s 46. On the other hand,
Amo’s bowler Khair Mohammad Alizai delivered an impressive performance, taking
4 wickets.
In response to Mis-e-Ainak 317 runs, Amo team scored 326 runs in their
innings, gaining a 9-run lead. In their batting, Mahboob Taskin made an
unbeaten 160, and Javed Ahmadzai added 90 runs. For Mis-e-Ainak, Mohammadullah
Logari took 2 wickets.
In the third innings, Mis-e-Ainak scored 271 runs. With a lead of 262
runs, and as the 3rd day came to an end, the match was declared draw.
In Mis-e-Ainak batting, Younis Zadran remained unbeaten on 77, Asghar Atal
scored 63, and Mubeen Bakhtyar added 35. For Amo Zone, Khair Mohammad Alizai
took 5 wickets.
At the end of the match, Amo team’s batsman Mahboob Taskin was named
Player of the Match for his unbeaten 160 runs.
The match between Bost and Spinghar teams, which started at Kandahar
Cricket Ground, also ended in draw on the final day. In this match, Bost batted
first and scored 319 runs, with contributions from Ali Ahmad Nasir (107),
Azizullah Miakhel (63), Nauman Shah (42), and Fazal Haq (33). For Spinghar,
Abuzar Safi took 5 wickets and Qamar Shams took 4.
In reply to Bost’s 319, Spinghar scored 368 runs. For their side, Usman
Noori scored 63, Majid Alam 62, Jalat Musazai 57, Shawkat Zaman 44, and Abuzar
Safi 42. It is worth mentioning that Bost’s bowler Ahmad Wali Sial delivered an
excellent performance, claiming 7 wickets.
In the third innings, Bost scored 423 runs, but the match ended in a draw
at the conclusion of the third day. In Bost’s batting, Azizullah Miakhel
remained unbeaten on 110, Ali Ahmad Nasir scored 93, Bilal Ahmad Tarin 61, and
Nauman Shah 56. For Spinghar, Hayatullah Noori took 4 wickets.
In the final moments of the match, Bost captain Ali Ahmad Nasir was named
Player of the Match for scoring 107 and 93 runs.
In the next matches, Band-e-Amir will face Spinghar at Helmand Cricket Ground,
while Bost will take on Mis-e-Ainak at Kandahar Cricket Ground.
